I'm a software engineer on the Semantic Understanding Platform team at Google. We build machine learning infrastructure at planet-scale. If you've ever used any Google product with AI (Gemini, Photos, YouTube, Gmail, Docs, Maps, ...), there's a very high chance I helped build, and now lead the qualification and releases of the servers that processed your data.

I specialize in creating AI-powered developer tools to power AI. This quite literally means I make AI that makes AI.
The better I get, the sooner Skynet fires me.

I was once a PhD student at Purdue, but dropped out because research was really boring software engineering seemed far more exciting. Although briefly, my research interests lay in Applied Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and Data Mining.

I enjoy tinkering with new tech - especially fresh software. I'm an anime geek, a cat person, and proudly on team coffee over tea.
My first language is memes, with advanced fluency in dry sarcasm and satire. I also speak Bangla and English.

Experience

Software Engineer

Google
  • Own developer experience for Google's AI/ML infrastructure, ensuring complex systems feel usable and debuggable.
  • Lead release qualification for high-stakes ML models and signals, translating “this should be fine” into comprehensive test coverage.
  • Design CI/CD and validation pipelines that balance speed, safety, and the laws of physics.
  • Ship binaries that must work everywhere, all at once, on the first try, at an earth-level scale.
  • Act as the final checkpoint between “LGTM” and “global incident”.
  • Measure success by the absence of chat messages during big launch events.
March 2022 - Present

Software Engineer

ICM
  • Designed and built REST APIs that securely connected users' investment accounts with their bank accounts, moving real money and therefore sleeping very carefully.
  • Implemented authentication and authorization systems that decided who could move money, and who absolutely could not.
  • Built and maintained the backend and database for the ICM Cash Account, where “eventual consistency” was not emotionally acceptable.
July 2021 - February 2022

Graduate Research Assistant

Regenstrief Center for Healthcare Engineering & Department of CS, Purdue University
  • Coordinated interdisciplinary causal inference research with Biomedical Engineering, translating “medical” into “computational” and back again.
  • Invented a novel causal graph for human auricular synaptopathy, improving clinical hearing-loss diagnosis accuracy by 12% and proving that arrows can save lives (statistically).
June 2020 - May 2021

Graduate Teaching Assistant

Department of CS, Purdue University
  • Tutored and mentored Computer Science majors in C and C++, guiding them through pointers, segmentation faults, and the five stages of debugging grief.
  • Designed assignments and instructional materials that were educational, fair, and only mildly terrifying.

Courses Taught: CS 240 Programming in C

August 2019 - May 2020

Research Assistant

Department of CSE, BUET
  • Conducted research on social-spatial-temporal data indexing (TSAS 2021).
  • Led a team of student researchers to build an AI-powered healthcare chatbot, teaching machines to give medical advice responsibly and humans to label data consistently (CHI 2021).

Interests

Binging anime, reading every book I can get my hands on, and hanging out with my cat Doraemon is my ideal "social" life.
I love solo road trips and quiet sightseeing.

I'm a hobbyist electrician, exceptionally skilled at taking things apart, though unfortunately not as skilled at putting them back together.
I build custom mechanical keyboards: a hobby that produces excellent typing sounds and deep personal satisfaction (and makes my wallet thinner).
